the egg experiment

Joaquin got a cool egg experiment kit from his friend Ellie for his birthday. They had been begging to do it all week. The idea is to design a way for the egg to fall and not crack open. There is a practice egg in the kit that you fill with water, so you don't have to waste all your eggs.

Here is their first attempt. What do you think?


We dropped it from the tree house.


A last minute fix.....


...and....splat!


Actually, their first attempt with this model and the water egg worked. Not so lucky with the real egg. They then wanted to test the water egg without the protection, to see if it would really crack when you dropped it. It did.

We will try again another week.
