a few pictures

it's finally here!

I'm so glad the day is finally here! We wore ourselves out today...traveling to see my cousin then taking the kids to two huge parks today...we were trying to wear them out, but it backfired on us when they fell asleep in the car!
And the new plan is Juan Pablo WILL come back for the appointment on the twelfth. I told him he changes his plans willy nilly and I have the blog to prove it. But at least he'll be there to pick us up. Juan Pablo leaves at 830am and gets in tomorrow night some time.
Our plane leaves Reagan National at 715pm and we'll be in La Paz around 530am the next morning. The kids are excited about the planes...they keep asking if this time they are actually going to move (we went to the air show at Andrews Air Force Base and got to walk on alot of planes that didn't go anywhere). We'd appreciate your thoughts and prayers tomorrow for a safe journey and for two sleepy children!

Well, it is just three days until we leave! We still have to pack the trunk of our car (which we've been living out of) into a suitcase...and with a little reorganization we should be ready. I like to get things done early and Juan Pablo likes to wait until the last minute so finding an agreeable time will be the hard part. We've been having fun at David and Leah Ann's pool and catching up with family and friends here and there. We will miss everyone so much!!
I hope to be able to post more pictures once we get our computer in Bolivia. I'd like to do it with every post. You know, pictures are worth a thousand words, and I'm certainly not going to write a thousand words everyday. But right now, it's too complicated.
I can't believe we thought we would be in Bolivia by the end of February and we're still here...it has definitely been a long goodbye but time is flying now and we'll be there before we know it!

plans change!

Or change of plans...Can you believe we got the dates mixed up?!! So Juan Pablo had booked a separate flight to La Paz, but it was still before his fingerprint appointment!! So now he has changed his flight back to the original date (for a small fee of course), but there were no more seats on our plane for him, so he is leaving the morning of May 30 and we are leaving in the evening. So I'm still flying by myself with the kids. I just hope the bed is made when we get there.
And if you're wondering about the fingerprints...he is going to change the date for that to give everyone a chance to get settled in Bolivia before he has to return to the U.S. for his appointment. Yes, we fly by the seat of our pants...our plans change daily! You have to be quick to keep up with us. And to think we are going to Bolivia for a more relaxed way of life!!

We got a date for Juan Pablo's fingerprints! And it is a week after our plane leaves for Bolivia...so the new plan is I am going to fly by myself with Joaquin and Isabela and six suitcases! I hope they don't do this on the plane!!!
Juan Pablo will come the next week after he finishes with immigration.
So this is the first kink in our big adventure! and the first blog I've ever written!!
