$1/lb.

Yesterday, the kids each sold one pound of their Halloween candy to a local dentist office...they were paying one dollar a pound and are going to send the candy to troop overseas. Look how full their boxes were after just one hour of collecting (and that was only a few of them!)

We weighed our bag before we got there to make sure we had a pound. One kid brought in 10 1bs. of candy!!

We didn't have that much...I think they both still have a pound or two left at home. So does that mean if I eat a pound of candy, I'll just gain one pound?

And this was a cute activity we did that I copied off some other homeschooling mom...use the beginning sounds of each candy to fill up the alphabet. Even if they can't read the names, they can see which letter is first on the wrapper. Good practice for reading words left to right, too...Joaquin at first had lined some up using the last letter.
